LEMONWATER

For four years in a row we have been commissioned to create the advertising photography for You.C1000, an Indonesian Energy drinks brand.

The edited images are to be used for a national print and outdoor media ad campaign to complement the TV campaign that will run throughout Indonesia.

pre production

Working alongside Beautiful Productions who were managing the television commerical, we attended a number of pre production meetings via Skype and in person to ensure we could fit in with their schedule.

production

The nature of each shoot varied. For the first year we employed a body double and we able to use the extras from the TV commercial so we could rehearse before Robin Van Persie arrived.

Year two involved pre in a Manchester steel works. Again we used body doubles so that we were ready to go once Angel Di Maria and Robin Van Persie were ready.

The third year involved a trip to a sport centre in Manchester where we shot four Man United players – Chris Smalling, Juan Mata, Anthony Matial and David de Gea.

The most recent year involved a self contain photo studio being built under the stands at Old Trafford.

In all cases we have very limited time with the actual player with us one year have a 90second countdown being timed on the PA’s phone! In all cases we got the shots we needed, sometimes in as few as 20 frames.

post production

All of the shoots we have done for You.C1000 lend themselves to dramatic editing and image manipulation to really make the colours and movement jump out at you. The edited images are to be used for a national print and outdoor media ad campaign to complement the TV campaign that will run throughout Indonesia. Given this is a sports energy drink we need each image to scream high energy.

They get the job done and done well, beginning with their very thorough questions over the brief and comprehensive answers to our questions, these help a lot especially with the time difference between Manchester and Jakarta.

They & their team have been very professional and responsible. Hardly any time is wasted on the job, critical to us as we have to deal with internationally recognised footballers who are time-sensitive due to their hectic schedules.

Are we happy? Most definitely! We have worked with them the last four years and look forward to extending the run.
